Oral Cancer Study

Oral cancer is affecting more Australians than ever before. We are inviting people who have been diagnosed with oral cancer to share their experiences and help us shape this discovery-science research project to explore disease in ways that are relevant, respectful and informed by lived experience. Bone health in muscular dystrophy – discovering novel treatment strategies

Bone and muscle are closely connected, working together to support strength, mobility, and overall health. When muscles are healthy, they help maintain strong bones and strong bones, in turn, support muscle function. However, in conditions like muscular dystrophy, declining muscle health can have a negative impact on bone strength. Despite this important relationship, there is still much to learn about how bone and muscle interact in the context of muscular dystrophies.

To help address this gap, we are inviting a Research Buddy to join the team at UWA. In this role, you will collaborate with researchers, contribute to shaping the project, provide valuable feedback on study design, and help ensure the research reflects the needs and priorities of the community.
