Aboriginal English Voices and the Future of Technology
Are you an Indigenous speaker of English who grew up speaking ‘home language’? This type of English is known as ‘Aboriginal English’ and is used by Indigenous people across Australia.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest for an upcoming Micro Community Conversation. This conversation will contribute to an exciting research program at the University of Western Australia (UWA) which is exploring how technology can better understand Aboriginal English voices. The goal is to help ensure that emerging technologies can support more equitable access to healthcare and allow everyone to benefit from future advances in health services.
