Improve Pre-Surgery Information for Families of Children with Cerebral Palsy

Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH) would like to hear from parents, carers and children with cerebral palsy (CP) who have previously had orthopaedic surgery at PCH. The team at PCH would like to work together with families and children to re-design educational resources and information provided to families to help them prepare for surgery. No prior research experience is required.

Seeking caregivers of children with lived experience of high-risk neuroblastoma

High-risk neuroblastoma is a fast-growing childhood cancer that can be difficult to treat. Even with current treatments, some children experience a relapse, and long-term cures are not always possible.

We are looking for parents and caregivers of children affected by neuroblastoma to share their experiences and perspectives. Your insights will help guide the research by identifying what matters most to children, families, and caregivers living with neuroblastoma, and by ensuring future research focuses on their needs and priorities.

Help Us Better Understand Movement Challenges and Sleep in Children Aged 6-12

We are seeking a Research Buddy with lived experience or a close understanding of the challenges children with low motor competency experience, such as a parent or carer of a child with Developmental Coordination Disorder. Understanding sepsis in ICU

The RESOLVE-SHOCK research team invites people with lived experience of being critically ill in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), who have had shock (very low blood pressure) or sepsis, along with their family members and carers. Our goal is to use hospital data and blood samples to better understand why some patients recover while others deteriorate, in order to develop more targeted treatments. We are looking for partners to work alongside researchers at all stages of this project. Your unique insights will be essential to help shape our research questions, inform the study’s design, and ensure our findings are shared in a way that is meaningful to patients, families, and the wider community.

In this role, you will partner with researchers and share your experiences, perspectives, and feedback throughout the project. You will be asked to review documents (e.g., grant applications, consent forms, surveys) and share your lived experience and insights. Your input will help ensure the research stays focused on the needs, priorities, and experiences of women living with heart disease, ultimately helping us improve how heart disease is diagnosed and treated in women.
