Insights to Improve Cancer Care

We are seeking people with lived experience of cancer, as well as family members and carers, to join this project as Research Buddies.

As a Research Buddy, you will work alongside researchers at the beginning of an important long-term initiative aimed at developing an integrated cancer data registry. The project seeks to better understand patient experiences, treatment pathways and health outcomes to help improve cancer services over time.

Your input will help ensure the project remains relevant, understandable and focused on the needs and priorities of people affected by cancer.

About the Opportunity

As a Research Buddy, you will contribute a valuable community perspective by:

  • Sharing your experiences and insights as a patient, family member or carer
  • Reviewing survey questions and research materials
  • Providing feedback on participant information sheets and consent forms
  • Helping identify the outcomes that matter most to patients, families and carers
  • Advising researchers on how health information should be collected and used in ways that are meaningful and trustworthy

Your feedback will help shape the design of a larger future project focused on improving cancer care and patient outcomes.
