The Minster for Health has announced the finalists for the WA Health Excellence Awards 2024.
These awards celebrate individuals and teams who have made remarkable contributions to the health system with a commitment to excellence in healthcare and improving health outcomes for the community.
The CCIProgram would like to congratulate Piers Truter, Caroline Bulsara and their team from the South Metropolitan Health Service on their nomination for the Rockingham General Hospital – Emergency Department Musculoskeletal Diversion Pathway in the excellence in Person Centred Care section. This award recognises projects that involve and engage with the community to inform the planning and provision of relevant, accessible healthcare services and/or education.
It was a pleasure to support the team in hosting a Community Conversation with consumers from Rockingham and surrounding areas to provide their views on emergency and follow up care at the hospital and with other urgent care services. The research team have used these views to inform future research and to influence positive change in local urgent care services.
