Palliative Care Services Review

As part of the independent review of palliative care services in Western Australia, researchers from the Perron Institute are wanting to hear what you think. There’s a consumer survey open which needs your responses to build a clear picture of palliative care in WA.

If you fall into any of the following categories is eligible to enter:

  • People currently living with a life limiting illness
  • Family, friends and carers of someone with a life limiting illness
  • Family, friends and carers of someone who has passed away from a life limiting illness within the last five years (2015-2020)

With funding from the WA Department of Health, the review is led by Professor Samar Aoun and will look at the patient experience and preferences when receiving palliative care. It will also explore the needs of those who were unable to access palliative care.

The findings from the survey will be discussed with service providers in consultation forums across the State to develop recommendations for enchantments in palliative care models in WA.

The survey closes Sunday 16 August, 2020. Take the survey now
