OVERVIEW
The Australian Cancer Nursing and Navigation Program (ACNNP) is designed to connect people affected by cancer with quality care, information, and support regardless of their cancer type, background, or location.
As part of this initiative, Cancer Council is developing a new National Cancer Navigation Service to enhance and expand existing support offerings, making it easier for more people to access tailored information and assistance that meets their individual needs. This cancer support service aims to be inclusive, culturally safe, and responsive to the needs of the broader Australian community. This means building services that actively recognise and respect diverse identities, experiences, and circumstances, while addressing barriers to care and ensuring every person feels welcome, understood, and supported throughout their cancer experience.
To help shape this service, Cancer Council is inviting members of the public living in Perth who are over the age of 65, with a lived experience of cancer to participate in a co-design workshop. Whether you’re a person who has had a cancer diagnosis, a carer, family member, or loved one, your voice matters. Your experiences and perspectives will directly help us design a better service that truly reflects and meets the needs of all Australians.
