The WAHTN CCIProgram supported the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences (AAHMS) Project team with guidance regarding the importance of CCI in health research and innovation priorities and translation, and encouraged this to be considered as an essential component of the AAHMS Project scope. The CCIProgram facilitated and connected people with a lived experience involved in health research for a national online Community Conversation Roundtable, which delivered great insight and feedback for consideration regarding CCI in health research.
We look forward to continuing to support researchers on a state and national basis in consumer and community involvement in research and using the AAHMS Report findings and recommendations help reinforce the importance and necessity of CCI in research that informs and guides health services and the wellbeing of our communities.
