ABOUT THE POSITION
How could personalised nutrition be used to help treat diseases throughout our lives?
The Australian National Phenome Centre (ANPC) and the Health Futures Institute (HFI) at Murdoch University want to find out, with your help.
Through their work they aim to revolutionise the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of serious health challenges and transform how long and how well people live. One aspect of this involves investigating how our risk of disease can be predicted based on our individual genetics and gut health as well as global data – and how a personalised approach to nutrition can then help mitigate our risk.
They’re seeking diverse community representation from people who are interested in this idea of personalised nutrition as a potential form of therapy or health intervention through all stages of life. In particular, they’d like to hear from people with lived experience of Type II Diabetes, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Coeliac Disease, Heart Disease, Pulmonary Hypertension and Osteoarthritis.
As a member of their Community Reference Group for Personalised Nutrition Research, you’ll be helping to advance research that could improve the lives of people around the world and gaining an insight into cutting-edge science in the process.
