A New Treatment for Adolescents with Anorexia Nervosa

About the Project and the Involvement Opportunity
This research project aims to create a new treatment for adolescents with anorexia nervosa (AN), with a focus on how they experience and respond to emotions. To make sure the treatment is relevant and person-centred, we are using a co-design approach. This means people with lived experience of AN will be directly involved in shaping the treatment.
By working together, we will design a treatment that better reflects what adolescents need during recovery. Consumers will help decide how the sessions are structured, how long the treatment should be, what topics are important, and how the treatment is delivered. This collaborative process ensures that the final intervention is practical, meaningful and grounded in real experiences.
