By directly engaging with individuals with tinnitus, researchers can gain valuable insights into the real-world challenges of living with tinnitus, informing more targeted and impactful studies. This dialogue fosters a shared understanding of how advances in auditory neuroscience, neuroplasticity, and brain stimulation can be translated into meaningful clinical solutions. Additionally, it empowers individuals with tinnitus to voice their needs and priorities, ensuring that research aligns with their expectations and improves their quality of life.
This Community Conversation aims to bridge the gap between researchers and the community, facilitating mutual understanding and gathering valuable lived experience information which will inform future research efforts and strengthen grant applications.
The outcomes of this Community Conversation will inform the development of future grant applications and strategies for potential clinical translational opportunities. Direct engagement with participants will inform research direction and design, ensuring that future projects are informed by community input. Additionally, the feedback and perspectives will be shared into research reporting, demonstrating our commitment to community-informed science.
A $70 honorarium (gift card) is offered to attendees and light refreshments will be provided.
