Living with Skin Cancer in Rural or Remote WA – Micro Community Conversation
About the Micro Community Conversation
University of Western Australia researchers are seeking the perspectives of people with lived experience of skin cancer while living in rural or remote Western Australia.
This online Micro Community Conversation brings together up to six consumers for an in‑depth discussion that will shape a new research proposal. The research team is exploring emerging technologies to support the development of a low-cost medical device that may assist with the early detection of skin cancer, particularly for people living in Rural or Remote areas of WA.
Your experiences, insights and expectations will help ensure this research is relevant, practical and meaningful for rural and remote communities. By sharing your story, you will play a direct role in guiding the direction and priorities of the research team.
What to Expect
- A small, informal online conversation with up to six participants
- An opportunity to share your lived experience of skin cancer
- A chance to influence new research aimed at improving early detection for rural and remote communities
