Heart-healthy eating: What support does Nannup need? Micro Community Conversation

Join us for an important community conversation about heart-healthy eating. Researchers from Edith Cowan University are hosting this discussion to better understand the real challenges our community faces when trying to follow heart-healthy eating patterns.

We want to hear from Shire of Nannup residents who have experienced a cardiovascular disease event (e.g., heart attack, stroke), been diagnosed with cardiovascular disease (e.g., coronary heart disease), or are living with risk factors (e.g., high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, high blood sugar/diabetes).

During the session, participants will:

  • Share their experiences with heart-healthy eating – both challenges and successes
  • Discuss what resources and support would make the biggest difference in their daily lives
  • Help identify research priorities that address community needs
  • Contribute to shaping future programs and services

This is your opportunity to ensure that nutrition research and support programs/services are built around what matters most to people living with cardiovascular conditions. Your insights will directly inform evidence-based solutions that better serve individuals and families working to improve their heart health.

Attendees will be offered an $80 honorarium (gift card) and light refreshments will be provided.
