SUMMARY:Consumers Health Forum Annual General Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Consumers Health Forum of Australia (CHF) will be holding their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday 23 November\, 2020. Registrations are essential. \nThe AGM will also launch the CHF’s Consumer Commissions’ report on the lessons for consumers from the COVID experience. For people involved in health delivery and policy\, it has become commonplace to hear that COVID has generated the impetus and necessity for change in health care\, the expansion of telehealth being a prime example of this shift in gears. \nBut that should be just the start of COVID-induced initiatives in health. Societal dynamics right now mean Australia has a rare opportunity to continue with reforms that are practical and feasible\, but which have been blocked by institutional inertia previously. With the Federal Government next year expected to announce significant changes in primary and preventive health\, we need to ensure that our considered thinking holds an important place in new policy directions. \nCHF also have nominations for position open on the CHF board.

DESCRIPTION:This session\, chaired by Emma Kinloch\, Chair of NCRI Consumer Forum\, will explain the role of patient and public involvement (PPI) in cancer research\, why it is important and how you can get involved. Panellists will share their experiences of being a PPI representative (also known as ‘consumers’) or working with PPI representatives. \nThe session aims to highlight the range of different involvement opportunities across the NCRI Partnership and beyond\, with a view to encouraging many more people to get involved in cancer research. SUMMARY:Quality of Life Photovoice Gallery
DESCRIPTION:The Autism CRC invites you to the official premier event of their Quality of Life Photovoice Gallery\,  a unique research  output which offers an insight into what affects the quality of life for autistic adults\, told from their own perspective\, through photography and spoken word. \nThe Gallery is the result of an Autism CRC research project led by Curtin University. As part of the project\, the research team asked autistic adults to take photographs to represent their quality of life.
